Genesis 1:27 "God created man in his image; in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”
The Bible says that there is no peace for the wicked (Isaiah 48:22, 57:21).
When we believe that we are created in God’s image, and that he made us to know him and him to know us, we are called to take action in our own lives to strengthen that relationship. Just like any relationship, we must put in effort to deepen our closeness and love for God whom we were modeled after. God wants to love us and to have a relationship with us so as to reveal who he is, so that we can better understand who we are.
We believe in equality for all people and we believe a change will come.
Slavery in the United States was the legal institution of human chattel enslavement, primarily of native Africans and African Americans, that existed in the United States of America from the beginning of the nation until passage of the Thirteenth Amendment in 1865. Slavery had been practiced in British America from early colonial days, and was legal in all thirteen colonies at the time those colonies formed the United States. Under the law, a black enslaved person was treated as property and could be bought, sold, or given away. Slavery lasted in about half of U.S. states until 1865. As an economic system, slavery was largely replaced by sharecropping and convict leasing.
By the time of the American Revolution (1775–1783), the status of enslaved people had been institutionalized as a racial caste associated with African ancestry. The role of slavery under the U.S. Constitution (1789) was the most contentious issue during its drafting. Although the creators of the Constitution never used the word "slavery", the final document, through the three-fifths clause, gave slave-owners disproportionate political power. During and immediately following the War, abolitionist laws were passed in most Northern states and a movement developed to abolish slavery.
In the year 2022, Four Hundred years later- We are still fighting for Equality...........................
